Marie A. Moore, a member of the Firm, practices in the area of real estate law.  She received her B.A. degree from the University of Alabama in 1975 and J.D. degree from the University of Alabama in 1978, where she was Order of the Coif and associate editor of the Alabama Law Review.  She then served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert S. Vance of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.  Ms. Moore is a member of the Louisiana State and American Bar Associations and the Alabama State Bar.  She served as a member of the Louisiana State Law Institute's Committee for the Revision of the Louisiana Civil Code Articles on Lease.  Ms. Moore is the co-founder and the inaugural President of New Orleans CREW and Chairperson of New Orleans CREW Host Committee for the 2004 CREW Winter Council Meeting in New Orleans held February 5-7, 2004.  Ms. Moore is on the Executive Committee of the Louisiana District Council of the Urban Land Institute, and serves as the Treasurer of the Louisiana District Counsel.  Additionally, Ms. Moore served as a sponsorship Chair for the 2006 ICSC Gulf South Idea Exchange and was a Speaker during the 2005.  She practices in the areas of commercial leasing and real estate, construction, lending, and general commercial transactions.  Ms. Moore's publications are as follows:  (i) Author of Comment, Postconviction Remedies in Alabama, 29 Ala., L.Rev. 617 (1978); (ii) Edited and assisted with Personal Property Leases in Louisiana, 44 Louisiana Law Review 755 (1984); (iii) Co-Author of Is the Collateral Mortgage Obsolete?, 41 Louisiana Bar Journal 529 (1994); and (iv) Louisiana Contributor to State by State Guide To Commercial Real Estate Leases.  She also authored the Back Page article for Louisiana: A Very Civil State in Which to Do Business published in Urban Land, May 2004. Ms. Moore frequently speaks at seminars on the topics of lease and other real estate issues.
