Sher recently spoke on the subject of legal issues arising out of the expropriation of hundreds of properties taken by the State of Louisiana to make way for the multibillion dollar construction of the new Charity Hospital and the new VA Hospital in the Mid City area of New Orleans. The speech was part of a panel program called The Louisiana Land Grab: A Public Taking presented at the CLE of Louisiana conference held in Puerto Rico in July, 2011.
