Sher Garner is pleased to announce that Co-managing Members, Leopold Z. Sher and James M. Garner have been named to Lawdragon's prestigious list of Legends, a remarkable and select few who epitomize achievement in lawyering. According to lawdragon.com, "The Legends are a dazzling array of law firm leaders, plaintiff icons, Supreme Court justices, corporate counsel and public interest attorneys" who have made the Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America list for 10 or more consecutive years.
The site also explains the grandeur and significance of those listed... "A lot has happened since 2005 - to make the list then, a lawyer would have to have emerged as a star very early on (and, to stay on for those well into their prime is also a feat given how little quarter we award for seniority). When we began publishing, George Bush was president, Hurricane Katrina had not yet hit, and William Rehnquist was Chief Justice. It's been a wild first 10 years, and we're extraordinarily proud to feature the 50 lawyers who have been there every step of the way."
Sher Garner is proud to announce that 19 lawyers were named to the 2017 Super Lawyers and Rising Stars. Of the 19, nine lawyers have been recognized as Super Lawyers for 10 or more years. Click here for more information.

Co-Managing Member Leopold Z. Sher and Associate Jake Airey co-author, Arbitration & Disputes: In Advance of Need. About the book:
We've all heard the adage that failing to plan is the same as planning to fail. Most business executives approach a deal from the standpoint of how a transaction will benefit their company. If the company is purchasing equipment, it will want to be sure of receiving the fullest value for its dollars spent. If the company is building or selling items to another firm, the company will want to make sure the transaction is profitable. Generally, how and where a dispute should be resolved is not addressed in contracts. After all, why enter into a business relationship in the first place if the parties have expectations that the relationship will not work?
