David A. Freedman

David Freedman is a member of the firm and represents clients in every aspect and phase of civil litigation.

His practice includes a wide variety of subject matters. He has served as class counsel in arbitration proceedings involving professional malpractice, breaches of fiduciary duties, captive insurance disputes, the Internal Revenue Code, and the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. He has served as trial and appellate counsel in complex litigation and arbitrations arising from oil, gas, and mineral exploration activities and environmental class action lawsuits. He has defended governmental entities in federal actions involving the Fair Housing Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Sherman Anti-Trust Act, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. He has overseen multi-court litigation relating to contested dissolutions of limited liability companies and joint ventures, pursued creditors’ interests in state court and federal bankruptcy court, represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury and wrongful death actions, represented parties in construction disputes and lien removal proceedings under the Private Works Act, and has served numerous other clients in a variety of other matters and disputes.

David obtained his Juris Doctorate from Tulane University Law School, graduating Order of the Coif and magna cum laude. Additionally, he served on the executive board of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, as an Honorary Member of Tulane’s Moot Court Board, as the President of Tulane’s Po’ Boy Appreciation Society, and with the United States Peace Corps in Morocco.
