Biography
Wade B. Hammett, a lifelong resident of the Greater New Orleans area, attended college at the University of Southern California and graduated from there, cum laude, in 1994, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy with an emphasis on ethics. Mr. Hammett received his Juris Doctor degree from the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, magna cum laude, in 2007.
Mr. Hammett presently is admitted to the Louisiana Bar and he also is admitted to practice before all United States District Courts in Louisiana as well as the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Hammett has experience in motion practice and trial before Louisiana district courts and in oral arguments before Louisiana's district and appellate courts, and before various federal courts, including the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation. Mr. Hammett also has experience in arbitration.

Mr. Hammett's legal practice includes the areas of complex litigation, commercial litigation, environmental and toxic tort, insurance defense, and employment law. He is a member of the Federal, New Orleans, Louisiana State and Federal Bar Associations. Mr. Hammett has received an AV-Preeminent peer rating on Martindale-Hubbard.
Before receiving his Juris Doctor degree, Mr. Hammett was the Art Education Manager at the Louisiana Children's Museum. Mr. Hammett enjoys playing music with his friends and spending time with his wife, two children, and three dogs.
