Thomas P. McAlister

Mr. McAlister is an AV rated commercial real estate attorney with over 40 years of experience in all aspects of commercial real estate development, finance and land use, specializing in shopping center and mixed use development and retail/restaurant tenant representation on a nationwide basis. He has worked extensively on multi-unit retail and restaurant expansion roll outs and acquisitions. In addition to his private practice representing numerous local and national commercial real estate development companies and retail and restaurant tenants, Mr. McAlister served as General Counsel for over 10 years for a national retail shopping center development company supervising acquisition, development, sale, finance and leasing of millions of square feet of retail shopping center space throughout the country. He is the former Chair of the Old Metairie Commission in his home parish of Jefferson and currently serves as the District A, At Large Representative on the Jefferson Parish Board of Zoning Adjustments. Mr. McAlister also serves on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of New Orleans.
